Jessie Boggess is the most senior trainer of Off Leash K9 Training LLC of the New River Valley and Roanoke areas. She is a Concord University graduate with a B.A. in Sociology. Jessie has a deep and diverse background dealing with animals as she was raised on a working farm. Throughout her life, she worked with horses, cows, dogs and a multitude of other animals but her passion is focused on K9’s. While growing up, she trained several family dogs, involved herself with local animal rescue organizations, and endeavored to help animal shelters.
Jessie has a great understanding in the power of bonding with dogs. She experienced and witnessed the positive influences these ties have and she strives to train every client’s dog to empower individuals and families to have confident K9/person relationships.
She credits much of her formative K9 abilities and focus to her first black Labrador, Otis. Currently, Jessie’s personal K9 companion is a chocolate Labrador named Clyde. She and Clyde spend spare time hiking, working with horses, camping and spending as much time as possible on the New River.
While Jessie has a strong appreciation for Labradors, she loves all breeds and enjoys the outcome of training dogs and their owners to enhance the connection with four legged best friends.
